Spinal Mobility

Joseph Pilates said: “A man is as young as his spinal column.” The spine is responsible for many things in the body from our breath, overall mobility and body alignment. If the spine isn’t moving at its best - you probably aren’t either!

Here we are doing gentle spinal rotation with rocking to restore greater range of motion and better body awareness with cues for breath and contract relax techniques by the client during the stretch.

A healthy spine can not only ratate, but can side bend, flex and extend. Good programs like yoga and pilates are great for spinal mobility. If you have difficulty with spinal movements such with scoliosis, or have other back issues, be sure to discuss with your MD or chiropractor if Myoskeletal Alignment techniques are right for you.
