Fascial Lateral Lines

The fascia lateral lines include important postural muscles: Lats, Obliques, QL, Glute Min/Med, and the lower perineal nerves of the leg.

When the muscles impacted by lateral chain are either under developed or over utilized, there can be incomplete motor control and decreased kinetic motor neuron transfer/sequencing, decreased pelvic control both UP and DOWN the kinetic chain - briefly discussed here, inefficient gait/sprint cycle which lead to compensation patterns, skeletal alignment issues, compromised lumbar stability leading to back, hip, knee, foot pain, and compromised core strength impacting the entire postural system.

The more we look at the role that fascia plays, we start to see that its relationship with the whole body and its systems are more connected than ever!

That old song - “the tail bone connected to the leg bone, connected to the thigh bone….etc” is fundamentally true. It’s ALL connected.
